Puerta Abierta Preschool is a not for profit school. The school is designed to give children the opportunity to enrich their language and experience cross-cultural development through age appropriate curriculum and activities.

The curriculum and activities are geared toward the development of fluency and pre-literacy skills in English and Spanish, allowing children to "affirm the values of their own cultural heritage while acquiring an understanding, appreciation and acceptance of other cultures."

Subasta 2008 (Silent auction)
 
   Silent Auction Rules
  1. Bidding will take place from 4:00 to 6:15 p.m. on 5/18/2008.
     
  2. The first bid must meet or exceed the minimum bid requirement listed for each item. If not stated on the auction sheet, the minimum bid is one-third of the total value. Each subsequent bid must exceed the previous bid by the minimum raise amount listed on the bid sheet.
     
  3. Bids must include the bidder's dollar amount, name and daytime phone number.
     
  4. To use the "Buy it Now" option, the bidder must pick up the bid sheet, take it to the cashier and pay the "Buy it Now" price listed on the bid sheet immediately (The "Buy it Now" price is the item's full value plus 10% of the item's full value.)
     
  5. In the event of a bidding dispute, Puerta Abierta reserves the right to determine the successful bidder.
     
  6. All items must be claimed and paid for by auction close. Items are claimed by presenting your bidding sheet to the cashier at the close of the auction.
     
  7. The winning bidders are responsible for collecting their item(s). If you are unable to take your item(s) with you, please see Maria Cuellar- Weisgal, Puerta Abierta Director.
     
  8. Cash or checks are accepted. Checks should be made payable to Puerta Abierta. Any returned check fees are the responsibility of the check writer.
     
  9. All sales are final. There will be no cancellation of the sale under any circumstances.
     
  10. The donor and the bidder agree to hold Puerta Abierta harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, and causes of action arising from auction transactions.
     
  11. The estimated value of each item is listed on the bid sheet. Only the paid bid amount in excess of this value may be taken as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes and is available upon request.
   Reglas de la Subasta
  1. Se pueden poner ofertas entre las 4:00 y las 6:30 de la tarde, 5/18/2008.
     
  2. La primera oferta debe ser igual o mayor que la mínima oferta estipulada. La siguiente oferta debe ser mayor que la oferta previa por el incremento mínimo en la hoja_________.
     
  3. Escriba su nombre, número de teléfono, y cantidad de la oferta.
     
  4. Si quiere comprar el artículo de inmediato, el comprador debe tomar la página de ofertas, llevarla al cajero/a y pagar el precio de compra inmediata incluido en la hoja (El precio de compra inmediata es el valor del artículo más el 10%).
     
  5. Si hay dos personas que afirman haber ofrecido la misma cantidad, Puerta Abierta determinara el ganador.
     
  6. Hay que presentar su tarjeta de ofertas y pagar al cajero los artículos que se ganó al concluir la subasta.
     
  7. Los ganadores son responsables de recoger sus artículos antes del fin de la subasta. Si no puede llevar, hable con la directora Maria Cuellar-Weisgal.
     
  8. Puede pagar con cheque a Puerta Abierta o en efectivo. Los cheques devueltos tendrán una multa de $20.
     
  9. Todas las ventas son definitivas y no habrá ninguna cancelación.
     
  10. Puerta Abierta no es responsable de nada que ocurra entre el donante y la persona que hace la oferta.
     
  11. El Valor estimado se encuentra en los hojas de ofertas.
